Google Analytics (GA4) CSV to Dashboard

GA4 doesn't export one fixed report, every tab (Traffic acquisition, Pages and screens, Demographics, Ecommerce) exports its own dimension and metric columns as CSV. That's a real difference from Search Console's fixed Queries/Pages format, so this page covers the most commonly exported view, Traffic acquisition, and points you to the field picker for anything else.

Step 1: Export a Report

Open Reports → Acquisition → Traffic acquisition, then use the export icon (top right of the table) to download CSV. This report's columns typically include Session default channel group, Sessions, Engaged sessions, and Total revenue.

Step 2: Pick a Breakdown

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the column set depend on which report I export?

GA4 lets you export the CSV of whatever report tab you're currently viewing, and each report has its own dimension and metric columns (Traffic acquisition uses channel groups, Pages and screens uses page paths, and so on). There's no single fixed "GA4 export" schema the way there is for, say, a Search Console query export.

Does this need GA4 API access?

No. Export whichever report you're viewing as CSV from the GA4 interface (the export icon in the top right of most reports), then upload the file here.

Need a custom breakdown?

Open Pivot Table directly and pick any rows, columns, and measures from your export.
